Italy history trip

Florence enroute to Siena

Florence ignited the Visual Arts teacher within. The flying visit through the Uffitzi Gallery, reading the text of our euro centric was fascinating. The life and times of the Medici family who were the greatest patrons of developing great art of the renaissance. Michelangelo who unpacked the human physique with precision and kept the mind focused on that goal. The height and depth of great scholars who fostered the arts and have left with western culture a narrative that will continue to endure.

Followed by the San Lorenzo Markets, Duomo, Cathedral and the Ponte Vecchio.

Pisa, home of Galileo … The earth is not flat.
